This is a handmade Japanese glass of Edo-kiriko (Edo-style cut glass). Edo-kiriko is traditional glasswork of Tokyo, known by beautiful designs and delicate cutting technology, and it is designated by the Japanese government as a national traditional craftwork. The first production is said to have begun in 1834 (late Edo period), and now, many of the products have modern refined patterns while maintain traditional designs and methods. Therefore it is popular among foreign tourists and gaining a good reputation.
